Left field, way left field.

I an NOT getting rid of my Buell!!!

I am going to buy a cruiser for the two up riding, though. Looking at the VRods. Any of you out there have one? What do you think of it? Have you had any problems with it?

Thanks for the time

Rich

Good bikes from the feedback I have received from customers. Well engineered for sure and pretty quick, tight packages. Not sure about two up riding though - heard many complaints in that area. Personally, I just can't get past the styling issues but I can appreciate the engineering. I ride a 77 HD FXE Shovel (86")when I need to be two up. It is good for now, but I think I will upgrade to a HD FLH Standard when my daughter is a little older and the wife and I have more time to ride.

IMHO ...
I really like the Street Rod.
I scraped the V Rod too much, the Street Rod is much more lean friendly.

V-Rod? My neighbor just bought a new 2007 BMW K1200R Sport for just under $11K in Daytona during Biketoberfest, I think it's starter motor makes more HP than a V-Rod.

WOW!
A 110HP starter.
Must be one hell of a beast to get to turn over!

Not alot of comfort on the back of the vrod for the passenger, even with the big seat and back rest. Every one I have taken in on trade was because of that. Demo/rent/ride two up before you pull the trigger. Other than that if I had the cash there would be an orange one in the garage next to the Bueller and the Sporter

Thanks for the info, guys. Haven't actually made up my mind yet, but I still think I'm pretty dead set on the Night Rod special.

Forward controls, 240 ass end and the vivid black with pewter stripes just does it for me.

Any more info you could find about problems would be appreciated.

I think the girl will be okay on the back, she 'says' that she's rather comfortable on the back of the lightningbolt, but maybe I just want another bike...hehe.

Thanks fellas.

1. a big back tire makes it very hard to get around parking lots with the wife/gf on the back
2. the wheels paint chips off along with the "signature red-line wheels" yeah...its drawn on with a paintbrush on flat black rattle can paint.
3. no radio to shut her up!
4. every 10k miles you have to shell out about $700 bucks to get your top-end re-shimmed
5. a lot of bikes will be passing you, 110hp just doesnt seem accurate
6. No aftermarket parts for them really besides accesories junk.
7.no radio so she will want to talk when shes riding.
8. Go ride a street-glide, not a street-rod...a streetglide.

I can name off more but I gotta get going to work, I seriously suggest riding one first before you sign anything. Just to be sure your ape s**t over that goofy bike

P.S. almost changed my mind about it since I saw a orange and black one today at work....almost

If your looking for a power cruiser (which is the class the v-rod is in) and you don't have a problem with the idea of other brands...I've been eyeing this one up for a while...

The Rocket III is a neat bike. Sat on one at a show... it's SO wide! And 3 tailpipes... that's just bizarre!

I have a deuce, and my wife has gotten to where she would rather ride on the back of my xbr on short trips.

04 deuce 9,000 miles of daytrips.
07 xbr 6,000 miles one summer.

If I sell the deuce I will replace it with a glide of some sort.
