Well we made it down to Arkansas last weekend for the Bikes, Blues and Barbeque festivities. It was a good time. It was just my girlfriend and I. We had a good ride. Didn't get to do as much riding as I wanted on saturday. She was getting a little tired and sore. I only saw 2 Buells at the rally. A woman on a black 9 and I couldnt make out the other as it passed me in the dark. I saw 1 yellow in Eureka. Was that anyone here? Anyway, I mounted my 12 up with a Ventura rack that worked awesome. Doubled up as a nice support for her. Also put the dropped pegs on the back for her and a 9sx seat for some extra padding. All in all it was a great trip. Although my tire went away with 200 miles left in the trip. Small patch of cords trying to come through. I made it home and that patch turned into about half the tire. Ill put some pics of that up. Here is a pic of the bike with the rack. If you are considering one, do it. The thing is solid and we had about 40 lbs of crap on it at one point.

OMG, how does it handle with that out on a limb like that.

I guess it just seams worse because the lighting tail is so short but wow, that would just make me nervous.

Glad to hear it works well though

LOL! Mass de-centralization! I like it.

Believe it or not, the handling is not as badly affected as you might think.

Can you say more about the Arkansas event? I need to relocate. I have found with my Uly that when my fiance is on the back the handling is still great but it sure is much easier to lift the front wheel (by accidnet of course) in more gears.

WOW Skully. And I thought I was loaded. That is awesome. What turn signals do you have back there. With the rack on I had to remove my turn signals. Didn't have time to make a bracket or anything. The handling wasnt bad at all. I wasnt pushing it by any means though, esp with her on the back.
The Arkansas trip - We stayed in Eureka Springs and took the long way to the Bikes, Blues, and Barbeque Rally in Fayetteville. We hit 7 down to Jasper, 74, 123, 16, 23, back to 16 and ended up at the rally. I cant tell you how many bikes were there, but there was a lot. It was pretty fun. I was hoping to find some fellow Buellers down there but only saw a few.

The roads you list there are awesome, especially 123 NE of Hwy 7:

Hwy 123

That series of switchbacks occur over a 100 yard distance!

The turn signals are OEM relocated after I cut the tail off and installed a Dark Horse Moto license plate bracket.

The rack and pack are by Ventura. What are you using?

I have the same rack and pack. When my bike fell off the side stand it busted the turn signals so I put some cheap bike master things on to get me by. They are short and right in the way of the rack. Ill try the stock ones back there. I need to get them back on anyway, these bike master things look like they came from Toys-R-Us. No offense if anyone else out there has them.
Yes I am hooked on those roads. My first time down there was about 3 years ago. I was on my old R6. We had two guys fall. One being my dad, and I was right behind him. That wasn't easy to watch. I only went back once the next couple of years and that was on a CBR1000RR. It was alright. Then I got my buell in August and have been twice and am going again next weekend, the 20th. If anyone is going to be out, let me know. Maybe we can hook up.
