I decided to get the Super TT and should pick it up this weekend. It’s a ‘07 BUT the dealer knocked a about $1500.00 off and NO shipping or set up charges either.

I thought about the differences between the ’07 and the ’08 and I can live with the motor,
I want the Drummer, race ECU and K & N filter so that should help any stumble, if I have any, from what I read here.

Only problem is I dug my old leather jacket out and it’s shrunk on me. Or I gained weight…Naw must be bad leather and shrunk! LOL

Of course it was in the 90s THIS weekend and is going to be on the 50s next! It’s a 70 mile ride home at least it’ll be on back roads and I have a friend who going to take me up on the back of his ST1300 and lead me home.

Let you know how it goes.

Don't forget to plan for the fact that you will be in the "break in" period and will have to ride pretty slow. RPM's are supposed to be limited for the first 500 miles which also limits top speed.

Good luck and have fun!

RPM's limited to 4,000 for the first 50 miles. It's raised to 5,000 rpm for the next 450 miles, or total of "500 miles" for break in. This was according to my '08 XB12R owner's manual. I'm sure all the 12's have the same break in procedure.

Have a nice ride home! It'll probably take a week or more to get that smile off your face!

Before you set off, make sure you perform a rudimentary suspension adjustment, it will make your first ride much more confident.

Also check tire pressure.

When I picked mine up, the dealer spent a solid hour setting mine up (showing me how)

+1 Monkey.

When I picked my 2003 XB 9S at Atlantic County HD in New Jersey, they made me wait about three hours for it to be set up. Then the service guy said " we don't do suspension".

When I got it home, I discovered they didn't do tire pressure either. Luckily I trailered it home.

They also neglected to tell me that they were going out of the Buell business altogether.

At least there was some good news.

Bottom line, check everything yourself, especially on a left over, which may have been repeatedly started and run for just a few seconds, fouling the front sparkplug.

Naturally, oil level is a good thing to check too, and there is no time like the present to pick up the Shop Manual.

I guess by now, most of the Harley dealers that are still in the Buell business, know something about them.

Except Eastern HD, of course.

Sure, go ahead and gloat!! You lucky person. I went to MY dealer and ordered an '08, only to find out that the Mother Ship's new production schedule put delivery into Dec. Then this week I was told the date had been pushed back to Jan or Feb of '08. Mutter, mutter. I threatened the dealer with the wrath of Court (LOL). It even looks like the 1125 will arrive before my TT. Ah, well, it's not like I would be riding it before April anyway.

Seriously, congrats to you!! Enjoy to the fullest.
