I heard somewhere that there are upgraded stock plug wires. Any reason to upgrade? |

You seem to have the same bike I do. The stock wires on my bike were "minimal" in my opinion as far as insulation and protection goes. Plus the front one rubbed through on the inside of the frame about 1 - 2 inches from the plug end. I got a new set from Daves a few years ago and they are much better. There is more insulation, they are pre-bent, and there are "fins" near the plug end to protect them better against rubbing. I have been running the same wires for about three years now and I might replce them sometime next year just because they have gone through about 5 plug changes at this point and I don't expect them to last forever. I would recommend the updated wires or equivalent/better aftermarket alternatives. |

Magnecor makes a set for the XB that are far better than the stockers. Number 2557 I think. |

I bought a real nice racing set from Iron Machine at the beginning of this past season. They come in different colors you cant see them anyway, are 8mm with heavy silicone boots and are ready to install I think they were $36.00? They work great in conjunction with the Buell Pro Series Plugs Part No. 32322-01Y or HDB12P anyway those two together will improve your performance. They made a noticable gain on my XB12S |
