I'm looking at getting a xb12ss from a local dealer, they have some 07's left over. I was wondering is buying a Buell like buying a car in that you can deal on the price? Or am I at the mercy of the dealer? Should I expect a better deal on 07's vs. 08's? Sorry for so many questions at once I just want to make sure I'm not getting worked over since I'm a rookie! Any input or advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

In April 2007 I bought a 2006 XB12Ss for $9,000 from a Buell dealer. The bike had 384 demo miles on it and had never been titled. So, I got the full 2 years warranty from the day I purchased it. The battery has a date of August 2005 when it was put into service.

If you search through old posts, there is some pretty good advice. This in particular gives you an idea of dealer cost:

From my own experience and from what I have heard from others, you ought to be able to at least get out the door at MSRP.

i found most dealers sell at sticker.if you find a dealer with old stock and there are some you might get a deal. i could have gotten an 06 for 1000 off of sticker. but chose to wait for an 07 in the color i wanted.i also found that some dealers charge 500 freight and shipping.
good luck

I got an 06 XB9SX for 7500 because the 07s had just hit the floor.

I think the extra cash for an 08 is worth the improvements....No tps reset and better oil pump, higher red line....

But again that is just me.
