Has anyone here had a ride on/bought a 2008 XB9SX?
I have a chance to buy a new '06 carry-over and it is so cheap, I am wondering how the '08's run with the changes they made.
I like the idea of no TPS resets or spark timing ever, but we are talking about a lot of cash here...... Thanks!
(PS I had my '05 Citycross for 7500 miles and never had to reset TPS or timing once.)

i'm sure all the upgrades are nice, but if you're gettin a big enough discount you'll never miss them. TPS resets are like what 90 bucks? big deal. biggest thing is the hero blue city x has them sexy blue wheels. if it's as sweet a deal as you're making it seem, i'd get the 06, but i'm kinda cheap.

Heck, with ecmspy, TPS resets are free! No more dealing with crappy dealers as a added bonus!!! (disclaimer: I know not ALL Buell dealers are crappy, but many are)

Although, the only time I have "needed" a TPS reset, was when I put my race ecm in.

But, to answer your question. No, I have not, but they sure am perty!

Thanks for that input, pretty much the way I feel. I'm buying the bike tomorrow.
I like the Hero Blue too. That's the color my '05 was. This one is Kick Ash, but I think I will buy the blue body work for it.
I was thinking if I bought the '08, I was gonna get the Kich Ash anyway, so I'd have the black wheels. That way, I am just an airbox cover and front fairing away from any color I want. I need to see the Cherry Bomb red in person, it seems like that might be an option too.

Another cool thing is, I never got rid of my mounting rails and racks for the XB9SX for the Ventura pack situation I had, so we'll just bolt that back on there and instant roadtrip ready!

Great choice, welcome back. Ready for your road trip, if you need extra luggage checkout the H&B offerings for the CityX. They have bags and brackets that mount right up with minimal effort. : D

I have an 05' City-X, at the instance of the dealer I tried a '08 model; it didn't seem all that different to me - except the throttle response seemed a little less abrupt right off idle. It might have been a little more punchy, but I didn't really TRY it out, if you know what I mean. The engine has been upgraded as the fuel injection, no more TPS resets.
