So im in a truck following the trailer hauling my buell along with two honda repli racers. My bike is in the middle. We are cruising along when one of the straps holding my bike breaks in half! The buell promptly smashes into the honda on its left and snaps the left side mirror off sending it flying into the roadway! The mirror not the bike thank God! So I franticly call the guy pulling the trailer and tell him to pull over asap! Luckily he gets it stopped before the bike can fall off of the trailer. After inspecting the Buell the only damage was the broken mirror, not even a smudge anywhere else! I couldnt believe it! All tho it did take a good chunk out of the hondas fiberglass body. Anyway im now looking for a stock left side mirror in perfect condition so please reply or send me a pm if you have one thanks! Oh and I know I sould have been riding it instead of hauling it but for me tires are too expensive to waste just droneing down the highway in a straight line. That just isnt my idea of fun. Id rather just haul it too the fun roads if they are more than an hour or two away. Thanks again guys!

I dunno why you have to give any kind of excuse as to why it was on the trailer. I mean if theres a reason, theres a reason.
Why does anyone care? When I got my first bike it was before I got my MC endorsment. So I hauled it around in the bed of my truck for a week before i got around to taking it out. Then when I got my XB9R, the guy wouldn't deliverit cause he's retarded with directions or something. I trucked it home and did the same thing waiting for the time to take it down to the tag office.

It pisses me off that such "hardcore" riders of any kind will shun anyone who even mentions a trailer. But what do they do when something terrible happens? If theres an accident, a tire eats, run out of gas, belt shreds, sprockets shear, headlight quits working.

I've seen it all, and I'm always Johnny-On-The-Spot, without fail or gripe. Sorry that I've used up so much space but this subject has been bugging me for a long time.

I think I have a spare set that fits an R, I'll check here shortly

Too fun to pass up.

There is a difference between trailering for a day ride and trailering for Camping, racing or Break down Transport.

You guys want to see "Hard Core Bikers"? Here's what you do. Go to the Wal-Mart parking lot in Spearfish South Dakota the sunday before Sturgis Rally Week and check out how many bikers (And I'm talking Gypsy Jokers, Banditos, etc.) unload their Road King out of a 30+' Weekend Warrior and ride the last 25 miles into the rally! No joke, it will blow your mind! Now that's hard core! Me? I trailered mine right to the campground and then unloaded it. I've road there before, don't matter to me.

I've ridin cross country and also Gulf of Mexico to Nova Scotia, However when with fiance' we load up the toy hauler and take off with our two bikes and find a nice campground in good riding country. Seems like it all depends on what you want to do and whom you want to do it with regarding trailering/no trailering. None-of my business to take someone elses inventory unless I am getting paid for it, and it is none of my business what others think of me.

AH crap! First let me say thank you snake driver for sending me the mirror, the only problem is that it is the wrong kind. Its not a firebolt mirror, maybe for a lightning or something I dont know anyway Ill send it back and send you some money to cover your shipping costs. Thanks anyway! So... Um... Ferris? Your offer still stand?
