Anyone in upper south carolina have the equipment to reset my tp? I live in Spartanburg, the nearest buell dealer is 50 miles away. To make matters worse the buell mechanic does not work on Saturdays....I got me a race ecm today and Kevin is working on me a drummer for my xb12r. Your help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks Terry}}

Terry,

I live in Greer and ride a XB9R, race ECM and Drummer. I can't help you out, although I'm in the same boat as you. I need a TPS reset bad and I believe my static timing may be off. I'm coming up on my 10,000 mile service and don't like the ride to NC either. So, I have a Buell Race Muffler I'm going to sell and with that cash, purchase the necessary equipment to do all of my own servicing. Hopeful, within a month's time-frame. If you find a someone before then ... think you could let me know? I'll do the same.

Gary

can do... the support we have for buells around these parts is pitiful, wouldn't you agree? if people only knew what great little bikes they are, maybe it would be a little different!!!!!

Can't help with the reset but I am in Greenville/Simpsonville area. We should hook up for a ride. I have only seen Buells about 10x in our area but have not met anyone yet.

Sadly I can't help out with the TPS either but I have been thinking of purchasing the software as well as I just topped 10k miles. I'm living in Easley so look me up if there's a ride sometime.

I think there's at least one Badwebber in SC with the stuff to reset your TPS, but I can't find their name (I searched). You could try posting under the SC Buell riders thread on Storm Fronts:

If you can find them, maybe we need to have an SC Badwebbers meet/TPS reset day sometime soon?

My bike is really begging for a TPS reset, my front brake pads are ready to be changed, and so is the fork oil. I'm putting the software purchase to the front of the priority list. I plan on ordering everything so I'll be "self-sufficient".

There is a email list you can get on in Buell Riders in South Carolina, in Storm Fronts. Just sound off and get on it. Most of the people on it are from the Low Country. I thought I was alone in the Upstate member. Let's plan to get together ... let me know when and where.

PS. I'm taking pics of the Buell Race Muffler now to sale it on E-Bay to help pay for the equipment.
Gary

If anyone is interested; the Greer High Marching Band will be having a Cruise-In on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the old Winn Dixie parking lot in Greer Plaza (off of Wade Hampton Blvd and Middleton Way). The Cruise-In is open to both cars and motorcycles. Registration is free. There will be a Grand Prize Drawing! First Place awards will be given for "Best in Show" along with cash prizes and trophies. Barbeque and hot dog plates will also be sold. I'll be there around 4:30pm.

You can email me at tailspining@yahoo.com

You guys are talking me into making a trip that way to reset tps. Is there somewhere everyone can agree upon that I could hook up with ya and do a bunch? I would not mind meeting you guys in the Charlotte area and reseting half a dozen or so bikes.

Lost_in_Ohio, what's it gonna take!!? Cold beer, wings...Whatever I had rather pay someone like you rather than the dealership. Besides I'm curious about the process(me being an auto mechanic). I hope others will chime in.
