I saw a Ss in the classifieds with a Ulysses seat and subframe on it. Does anyone know if that will fit on a S as well? I dont know if the main frames are the same on these bikes or not. Sure would be nice for a cross country tour. If not, has anyone with an S had any exprience with a more comfortable seat for long rides. Im looking for suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Can't say for certain, but i think the answer in "no". The Ss and Uly frames are supposed to be wider than the S.

I agree and I don't think it can be done with out some adapters. I have seen an S tail on an SS but a lot of work had to be done to the tail section to get it to fit to the frame right.

Never say never, I have an R triple tree and bars on my S after being told but a bunch of people that it would never work.

I figured there is enough difference to make it not work. But like you say, never say never. Anything is possible, right?? I imagine that you are right. If the subframe is wider I should be able to fab up some spacers. Ill do some more research. Keep bringing on the advise though.
Thanks again

It'll fit, without too much fuss.
A friend of mine just put an R tail on his Ss.
The Ss frame is almost the same, just a bit wider.

Can't be done? It's only metal...you can do anything.

If at first it doesn't fit, get a bigger hammer.
