Anyone raised the bars on their Lightning say 1" with one of the bar riser kits out there? Any issues with having to extend wiring, or clutch cable/brake line? Thinking it might be a little more comfortable on my XB12?

if you do a search, i think i remember reading somewhere that you can go an inch no problem, any more than that and you could have issues with cables and such.

Did you need to switch all the cables and brake line to the Lightning's? I picked up a Lightning top tree to do the same thing on my bolt...after I finish another project.

I just raised the bars on my XB9S with the 1" risers from American Sportbike. The only issue I had was with the amount of front brake cable that extends from the uppermost cable stay. I loosened both stays and pulled the cable upward to provide enough length at the top to allow for the extra inch and then re-tightened the stays. I was torn between the 1" and 2" risers but I didn't want to have to deal with changing cables. Turns out the 1" risers made a substantial difference in terms of comfort and feel. Hope this helps.

Bake,

Where did you get the bracket for the ignition? Home made? I converted the front of my XBSs to R, but had to maintain the original top tree due to angle difference.

Yes and it's an easy one.... except I had to give up the steering lock

I'm using the 1" risers from Precision Engineering on my XB9S.
Along with the added rise I am able to push the bars a little more forward than stock (contacted the fork adjusters when moved forward in the stock set-up) giving me a much more comfortable position.
I moved the clutch and brake lever 3/8" toward the center of the bar and did not have to change either the clutch cable or brake line.

Put a set of blast bars on the cityX. No new cables needed, but they did need to be rerouted a bit to make it happen.
