If you have a Direct Link programmer, do you still need a race ecm or can you just remap your stock ecm to get the same performance?

The stocker will work, you are replacing the map.

Yup, stock works just as well. Just keep in mind the stock ECM has the input for the exhaust servo, so if you're using the stock muffler or the Sepc Ops you'll want it.

Once the new map is loaded, there are no other differences.

Is the Direct Link considered to be the best program for remapping the ecm for the Buell and are there any resources to help with mapping a ecm?
