Looking around for a new set of tires. Any sales going on? Definitely not going with Dunlop, ever again. I really like how the Pirelli Scorpions (?) handle and feel. Friend has them on his 07 XB9SX. Thanks for any input! Searching wasn't helping me any as the subject of tires has been beaten to death

There are some shinko tires on e-bay. Does anyone know about this brand or had any experience?

I also found some Michelin Pilot Powers stock size. They are selling for sets on e-bay. $244.00 for the set. This sounds like a fair deal with free shipping. I've heard a lot of good on here about them. Just looking for some input now.

www.lithiummotorsports.com
cheapest pilot powers I've found.
But the ebay deal is cheaper.
I'd go with that.

I agree that the OEM Dunlops were simply horrid, but the new Qualifiers are entirely different, and independently rated at the top of the bunch.

I have been using them, and have recommended them to my riding buddies who all have really liked them, and reordered them when needed.

In addition, there are some good deals on them, here they are on eBay for about $229 per pair shipped.

Best advice I can give is search all the websites you can and find the lowest price. Then, go to Dennis Kirk and give them lowest price you found and they will beat it by $1 (plus you know you are ordering from a reliable source).

Cool. thanks for the tire input. I know it's been covered many times as these bikes shred tires! I found a good deal locally (I think) but I'm still looking around. They are stock size Conti Road attacks. They are a sport touring tire and the mileage you can get out of these tires is really drawing my attention. They said $270.00 for the tires and they would mount them for $70.00. It's about $100.00 cheaper than the HD shop for the same set of tires. This is a Yamaha/BMW/Suzuki dealer. Has anyone ran these? I seen some reviews from other types of bikes mainly BMWs and they are real pleased with them as far as sticking to the road, longevity and wet traction. Thanks again Badweb!

You might check Cycle Gear. They have their D208's marked down to $150/set.

They ain't the greatest, but at $150, you could go through two sets at the price of one.

I went with the Scorpion Sync's. I found an on-line price for a little over $200 delivered. I had this in my pocket when I went into the dealer and was quoted list price (which, if memory serves, was like $159 for the front and $189 for the back). Long story short, the dealer had them in stock and matched the price. You can always ask....

I have the Road Attacks and love them. They take all the abuse I can give them. I recently ran over a bolt and holed the rear, but I had over 7k on it. It was ready to be replaced anyway. Front is still showing 1/2 wear.

I used up a set of Metzler Z6's. they were pretty good tires but changed to Pirelli's just for the fun of it.

Have Metzler M3's on my Uly. I am not the best person to comment on them other than they cured some instability at speed that I noticed on the Dunlops. Taking it to track day in a month so I may have a different opinion thereafter

I'm also in need of new tires. I'll probably end up with Strada's, but a connection might be getting me a free set.

Pirelli Diablo Strada looks to be holding out well on my rear. They cook a little quick but thats half the fun, I got 20,000km and on rear #5 and front #3 so I am jack of buying sports tyres.
