Sure this might limit my light at night (somewhat.. its actually not that bad), but I rarely drive at night. Thanks to Al @ Americansportbike for supplying the screen!

BTW, installed this larger windscreen and it definitely reduced the windblast at 80mph. The bike felt more solid at those speeds as well. Less twitching. I have yet to see how the cherry red translucent looks.

You have a nice looking bike there. So are you holding the screen on with just one screw per side (e.g., moved it down a hole)? Keep an eye on whether the screen gets too hot due to the lights.

I've got a clear version of that screen on order. I'm going to paint the inside black right up to the top of where a normal fly-screen would go. That will hide the wiring and other "innards" while leaving me with the extra protection part clear.

I'll keep check on the heat. I may as well order a clear version as well, that is an excellent Idea.

Yes do be careful, those lights do get hot, enough to melt a teddy bear. Someone on this board was on a Toys for Tots run and had a teddy bear on the front fender, the lights melted the bear.

Thanks. There are some wild things that you could do with interior paint and decals, too. You could do flames coming up from the headlights, a printed circuit board for a sci-fi look, riveted aluminum (think WWII aircraft), your nickname, custom Buell logos, or just about anything else you can think of. I even thought of having the back side mirrored.

But I wish I could find "Sunset Orange" paint to match my airbox cover, fender, and chin spoiler.

Had a thought about the heat issue: If you put reflective tape on the back in front of the headlight bucket, it will reflect most of the heat, too. I'd go for the adhesive foam pipe wrap with the foil face. I put that under my seat to keep the fan from cooking my nuts and it worked great.

You'd be going from almost black to almost a mirror, so it would be a big improvement.

Well your right that a taller windscreen makes this bike look less aggressive, and more OWL-ish. There is a cartoon that this thing reminds me of, can't put my finger on it.

Bringing it down seems to help the aggressiveness look, but I'm starting to like the idea of buying a clear version and painting just the lower section. You want some wind protection but you want the right look. Tough.

Looks good nice color combinations on the bike. Is that a Supra parked next to it?
