at 6,128 miles. OOPS!!!

Just got back from a 1500 mile trip around Colorado, then a short jaunt of about 70 miles and at times doing 85-90 mph. Tires and I were also on the track a few times.

Was losing air in the tires and wasn't sure why. Hubby took a look today and this is what he found, down to the steel cords.

I guess I got my $ out of this tire!!!

New tires are on and ready for the twisties and track again. (won't let them go this long next time tho)

The good Lord was watching over me.

You got 6100 miles out of the stock tires? How did you manage that? My stock Dunlop looked like that at 2900, and Corsa IIIs were the same at 3800 or so.

No burnouts (too short), almost no wheelies or stupid crap like that, and I still can't get 4K out of a rear. What's the secret?

I've found that running two up with 235lbs plus gear is hard on tires.

Now if I could only get rid of the pillion around my gut, I could trim from 235 to 190. : D

6000+ miles on a rear tire?
I've never gone more than 2500 on any rear on my Ss. My last set of Corsa 3's were shoot at 1800 miles. I wonder if I'm running the pressure to low. 36f 34r.

Never should have gone this far with the tire, should have probably changed around 4000 miles. Definitely am not running 235lbs plus, maybe 120lbs.

back tire pressure is 36 and front 34.

Don't do burn outs or wheelies, just a lot a mountain twisties.

Did get my new tires on and feels like I'm riding a brand new bike! Put the Pirelli Diablos on again, wanted the Corsa 3 but they were sold out, next time.
