Congrats! You'll have yours about 3 weeks before mine gets in - I'll be interested to read your "first ride" report to see if the new FI system is all that and a bag of cookies. (You ARE planning to post pics and a ride report aren't ya'?)

I love the looks of that bike - you gonna be able to ride it for much longer (when does it start getting too cold up there?)

I intend to give a full report with pictures. I probably wont even bother putting it on the road once I get it home. i have a two week vacation in September so by the time I get back it will almost be October. I usually put the bike away between October and November, but I really dont want to ride this one in bad weather right off.

I'm envious Dongalonga. Not about the new bikes, but about the roads you get to ride on in VT : )

You are all more than welcome to come up anytime to ride with me. It would be nice to ride with people who actually like the twisties unlike my buddies on their jap bikes who all want to go 160. I think I will take it to Smugglers Notch at least once before the season ends.

I think the 08 models have the most updates of any year. I bet the bike will be a blast (well not a "Blast" but you know what I mean)

"you gonna be able to ride it for much longer (when does it start getting too cold up there?)"

Come on now, I know we are way up north in NewEngland but its suppose to 95F degree today. I actually took my truck to work today because I was not liking the idea of 95F in Boston Traffic with a chance of thundershowers.

It starts getting cold in Nov, but that wont stop us New Englanders from riding. You will see us in mid january, on a random sunny mid 40s degree day out and about jsut to make sure the battery is good

We got out there every year, and stay in Newport with my Sister. We'll be towing the bikes out there next year most likely(My Son, at 5 years old is still a bit young for an 1,200 mile trek on the back of the "ulybolt").

Smugs is so incredibly cool! We missed going thru it this year.

Let me know if you make it with the bikes next year. My wife has a Blast as well and should be all ready to ride on the road next year so maybe we can all head to the notch.

What part of VT are you in? I'm in Keen and ride through there actually quite often. Theres this one road in Dummerston that when I get it with no cars pure joy. I also ride up through Dover and by Killington. Lots n lots of fun roads there.

I live in Manchester and it would have been great to meet ya at the dealer to see the smile that comes with a new bike. I'll actually be up at Wells/Ogunquit Maine on the 11th. Won't have the bike though. Congrats!
