Some of the oiling system changes (pump, etc.) on the '08 Thunderstorm engines are obvious, some internal changes to the crank have been advertised. But one thing I'm interested in is if the crankshaft pinion bearing has been changed/upgraded and/or is now supplied with pressure fed lubrication. In an HD technical document I see that the bronze camshaft / pinion bushings are gone, and the cams are hollow to supply pressure fed lubrication to the case where the cams bushings used to be. The photo shows the pinion bearing outer race, which looks the same as earlier models. Does anyone know if there was any changes in the pinion bearing?

Can you throw some pictures up so the rest of us can see too?

Reading (probably too much) in to this, it seems like they intend to keep the Thunderstorm platform around for a while longer if they are updating it like this. On are related note, I'd like to know what the maintenance expense will be to maintain the new 1125 motor - I don't know about you guys, but the easy maintenance is one of the major things that drove (haha) me to Buell over Ducati.
