I read the comments about the price drop on the '08 12R, so I looked at the Buell website to confirm. While there, I noticed that the typical footnote about the extra cash ($100?) for the charcoal can was missing. Then I checked the Lightning section and saw no mention of the charge for California bikes either.

So does that mean that the us folks in the Golden State don't pay extra, that every bike is a 50 state bike and the cost is built in (easier for a fly 'n' ride from Appleton), or they will update the website again and declare an extra $100 as usual?

Granted, it's not that big of a deal, but it made me wonder . . .

Actually, I just clicked into the section for the '07's and they don't mention it either. I could swear they used to. Hmmm . . .
