Simple. Trade them in - along with the bike attached to them - for the new 1125R.

Can't say I really like the new front, the old lights sucked but at least gave the Firebolt its own personality.

If you're riding a current air-cooled Buell, don't worry about the front of the 1125R. All you'll be seeing is its tail-lights, anyway.
Ha ha...sorry, too early to wake up on a Sunday.

The size and shape of the fairing don't bother me because it's a Buell and that means there is functionality built into the shape to help the bike perform. For myself I would've preferred to see round eyes, I figure that keeps it more distinct vs. the other sportbikes.

"...ride slower!"

147db,

You havent had a firebolt for any long period of time.

LIGHTS SUCK!

They get worse the more you use them.

The refelctive coating cooks away.

two things...

1. those lights will only be on the 1125r (but that cockpit can be added to your XBR)

2. the XBR does come with larger lights, I was plaing with the new "Pod" at the factory and it does seem to have more girth and the lenses are definatly bigger.

I just got a letter from BMC that stated since they couldn't fix the headlights on my XB12R that they were going to replace it with a new 1125R, under warranty.

Spidey,
the XBR does come with larger lights, I was plaing with the new "Pod" at the factory and it does seem to have more girth and the lenses are definatly bigger.

Glad somebody was looking out for us current/future "Bolt owners.

Was there any relative discussion about the cause or proposed remedy to this problem?

Maybe replacement with the revised 08 part is going to be the answer.

Did the reflective coating appear any different than the current offerings?

I was part of the Buell' "Send your lights to us so we can see what yall be bitchin' bout."

I saw a small chance that my sucky, lights might be fixed by the mothaship. I got very excited.

I also have a bad case of 1125R FEVER!
