Drummer, Race ECM, FAST Intake system. Don't know the numbers but it works great! Try it, you won't be disappointed!

Can one of you guys give a link to this system, please? I did a Google search and got many hits, but nothing showing this system. Thanks.

Look at the exhaust shootout results at American Sportbike's website. Should tell you all you need to know.

The exhaust, intake, and ecm modifictions help a bit, quantified in the shootout.

Beyond that, you get into expensive engine work that is probably not worth the money.

You can get the FAST from one of the sponsors, Hillbilly Motors.

Blaster,
good figures and a nice curve - is that a dyno test done on your bike or promotional literature?

No' its not my bike, but the guy's from Hillbilly offer a wide range of set-ups, each with the corresponding dyno.
I used the HP big oval before my rino pipe and the dyno
reflects the reality as close as you can feel it. Check out this link for more dyno's. (i think US hp is not the same as EU hp).

At the back wheel.
A lot, the muffler cost about $1250 the airbox about $50 and the K+N about $50 - the airbox was the best investment.

want more performance?

one word, SUSPENSION.

keep the motor stock, and upgrade and tune your shocks to your weight/style. 99% of us will never outride our bikes' ability. only our own. : )

....whats wrong with more power?

Not a thing, but if your chassis is so badly set up that you can't use the 80bhp you have what's the point in adding bhp.
A well set up bike will beat a badly set up bike no matter how much power the latter has.

AFTER the suspension work, I've got a thing for usable power.

I'm really glad to see people recommending suspension before engine!

You have money?

After the suspension work (Traxxion AK-20 cartridges in 43mm forks, Penske 3-way adjustable shock) - suspension will make you faster than modifying the engine AND it won't screw with motor reliability. I hate having to fight bad handling in braking/turning.

Now that your suspension is up to speed - punch it to 3 13/16 bore - there's no substitute for cubic inches. Cylinders, pistons and balanced cranks, case boring - could be up to $4G. Don't know where you live (not on your profile) so it's not easy to make a recommendation on where to go for the work.

Lightened/balanced crankset - $450 ish

Stage 3 Head work - about $1500

Cams - shop around - $400?

I wouldn't run compression high. The above at 10.5 to 1 still runs unleaded premium

K&N Intake Filter

Micron or other full exhaust $1300 ish.

On pump gas, it puts about 97 to the rear on U4 race (and different tuning) - closer to 100. HP numbers vary from day to day.

Heck, there's more you can do but the above has worked for me pretty well. Above $$$ are from memory and my brain is aging poorly. : D
