Some folks here don't have anything interesting to say, so they bitch about Buells and basically stir $hit. No one would pay them any attention otherwise.

They exist on every board. I used to frequent a couple of VW Passat Boards. They existed there as well.

You can usually recognize them by searching their post history and seeing that it is completely devoid of ANYTHING POSITIVE about ANYTHING.

I understand posting about a problem. I understand being frustrated. If you can't post anything positive about something once in a while, you have some serious mental issues.

I real life we recognize these folks, but rarely say anything to them. We simply avoid them.

On the internet, we tell them to STFU!

Really,I am a XB Hater

Do you not read your own posts? You may ride one and love the thing, but here on badweb it seems like you never miss an opportunity to tells us how bad the XB is or how much better something else is. Why do you think you get such a response from other posters? Do you think everyone reads that message into your posts? Are you suggesting it's just a badweb conspiracy to view you as being negative towards the XB line?"

Once again Spike, you read into it what you want to read into it,and I bet not everyone read into my post that I hate the XB line.I know some, such as your self, view any complaint of Buell or questioning of Buell's greatness as hating, but thats not true.Is there anything wrong with liking Buell, but understanding that it is what it is,a fun, sportbike, with a tourqey engine that lacks the HP of other modern sportsbikes.Sorry if you have tunnel vision but there are a lot of bikes that offer more than the Buell, apparently there are a lot of people that agree with that, does that mean you have to not like your Buell?Like I said, some people seem to be ashamed of there choice of bikes so they lash out.

Nope, its not faster than most sportbikes, yup, it may have more glitches than alot of bikes, nope, its not from Japan or italy, BUT, no other bike looks, sounds or is a Buell. I have more people ask me "what is that?" and I bet I get more gawks than guys riding Jap bikes.

Buell bikes are about being a little more different than all the other stuff out there. Hate away, I could give a rats-keester what other people say or think. I have a couple of good friends who work at the PDC and they say.."buell?, buy a jap bike". I just tell them to stop being "haters" and join the love train.

Perhaps not everyone, but enough that you've earned a reputation and get this sort of response frequently. Are you suggesting that everyone who responds to you in this manner is merely reading into what you write, or are you at least willing to acknowledge that the tone you take in your posts comes across as being quite negative towards Buell as a whole?

quote:

I know some, such as your self, view any complaint of Buell or questioning of Buell's greatness as hating, but thats not true.

You don't know that, you think that. Plenty of people complain and question Buell's greatness without me calling it hating. I myself complain and question Buell's greatness. The point is the manner in which it is done.

quote:

Sorry if you have tunnel vision but there are a lot of bikes that offer more than the Buell, apparently there are a lot of people that agree with that, does that mean you have to not like your Buell?

No tunnel vision here, I'm quite familiar with what the other bikes do and do not offer. More is an awfully subjective term.

quote:

Like I said, some people seem to be ashamed of there choice of bikes so they lash out.

This entire thread is about a guy getting flipped off by a group of guys riding other motorcycles. Who are you trying to say is doing the lashing out?

Do you know exactly what happened, could that have been an inside joke with them or maybe just a way they acknowledge another bike rider. There is a million things it could have been,on the other hand I see alot of lashing out on here, look at any post where someone asks about a bike or shows a picture of a new bike.

a "super bike" or any other motorcycle is just just a bunch of metal, rubber and plastic. worthless in unskilled hands. i can assure you that i couldn't hit a golf ball any farther with tiger woods' driver than a $20 driver from wal-mart. my somewhat puzzling point is imo a bike is just a bike, the rider is what makes it super. if that makes no sense i apologize, long night @ work and time for bed.

Chicks don't give a crap about what bike you have, as long as it vibrates, has two wheels and doesn't say "Vespa" or "Vino", you're gold.

I just like motorcycles. I am on a Buell site because I have one. If I had a Honda or Yamaha, I'd be at a Honda or Yamaha enthusiast site. Two wheels is two wheels in my book!

Chicks dig Buells
That just might be true!

I experienced something that would lead me to believe that this past Saturday. I was sitting at a red light and, as I always do, I looked around to check for hotties and to see who was checking my bike out. So many people check out the Buells. Who can resist? They're so awesome looking! To the right of me were a middle eastern mom and daughter in a Toyota Landcruiser just staring at me and smiling. I smiled back. I kept glancing over and every time I did they were still looking. We went about 300 yards or so and hit another traffic light. This time they were a little bit in front of me - maybe half a car length. The mom turns around practically wrenching her neck to look at me and she gave me the thumbs up. I thought it was pretty cool, especially since you don't imagine wealthy middle eastern women caring about motorcycles!

I HATE THE BUELL XB's !!!

Ever since they started making them,

They stopped making the Beulltiful Tubers I love so much!!!

Ok, so I'm just kidding, I like my city-x, but be serious, the XB's may handle better, but they'll NEVER have the class of an S2!

Let me guess, you probably had on sunglasses, shorts, sneakers, and a T-shirt or tank top. Yeah, sport bike lifestyle yo!

Cracks me up every time I see dudes on sport bikes cruising them around like they are, well, cruisers. I really love it when I see the guys who can barely ride them and have to put a foot out just to turn a corner!! hahahahha! Further more, I feel sorry for the guys who need a bike to troll around for "hotties." It's a sport bike, strap a helmet on, some gear, find some twisties, and ride it for what it was made for!

I think the point is that other bikes offer different than Buell, but not necessarily more. Whether it is more for the money is up to the choice of the user. That's the issue we Buell riders have, that so many people hit on Buell for being cr*p because of the the HP/$ deal. It just doesn't matter to us, but the import riders that berate us do so because they don't understand why someone wouldn't buy what they bought.

It represents one of the not so good facets of humanity. "Person X is different than me, therefore he is bad, stupid, possessed by the devil, or whatever I happen to believe in"

There is some lashing back at competitive vehicles here, but nothing compared to the Buell hating you see on other brand forums. So I tend to think that we are more knowledgable, more free thinking, more into what we do individually rather than what group we belong to. That's of course my opinion, but it seems more rational to me than others. Amazing how that works.

Oh how wrong you are. I had on a full face helmet, gloves, and textile riding jacket.

Plus, I only have about 3,500 miles under my belt so I don't act like I am a pro rider. As far as the girls go, I don't use my bike to pick up any girls. I look around for good looking girls just as much when I'm in my truck. I'm sorry, but I'm a male and I love attractive women. Sue me...

I'm definitely more likely to have girls look at me and wave when I have a helmet on! Lately I've realized a smoked face shield seems to add even more to the attraction!!!
