Which Fork oil to use?
I am going to change the fork oil on my 2004 XB12S and was wondering what oil and also what weight oil you have been using other than the Harley Type E. Does anyone know what is this Type E? I have a quart of Silkolene SAE 5W and was thinking of using it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm using Traxxion Dynamics' 125-150 fork oil. I'm very happy with it.

In my dirtbike, I use Automatic transmission fluid. It is about 7.5 wt, and works well. Plus, it is cheap. Do a search on thumpertalk.com, or any other offroad forums. I'm not saying that it is the way to go for your buell, just mentioning it as an option.

I use type E.

I'm more confused about it now than I ever was.

+1

I have Mobil 1 atf in the forks of all my bikes. I change it every year and it is still clean.
