i'm about to do the old 10K service, and was thinkin' that since i gotta change the fork oil, i might as well look into springs. haven't made up my mind. i'm lookin' for opinions, and i know you guys have 'em..... : )

i'm lookin' at the buell pro series kit (front and rear), but would consider others.

what do ya think?

Ship em to Traxxion Dynamics in Woodstock, expensive but they handle GREAT! I rode Smoke's SV with their stuff and was really impressed.

BTW, dont you think you should get it running first!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Pro-Series springs are only for the larger 43mm forks. I dont think they'll work on a 9.

05+ 9Sx & 9R have the 43mm forks
03-04 9S & 9R have 41mm forks

Pro series springs are definitely for the 43mm forks so basicly they'll work on all 05 & later XBs excluding the 12Scg which still has the older 41mm forks.
The 12Ss & 12X are excluded as well I believe due to fork lenghth.

Traxxion can get you the springs for the "old" 41mm tubes. I had them re-do my first set of 2003 forks (also re-valved) AND my set of 43mm forks (with AK20 Cartridges now installed)

Shoot them an email, they are good about responding.

So the fork/suspension should be over-hauled at 10k miles?

So the fork/suspension should be over-hauled at 10k miles?

The only service item regarding the suspension that my manual calls for is replacing the fork oil at 10,000 mile intervals.
