Several of our sponsors sell them.

American Sport Bike has a nice one that matches the left side.

Personally, I use the low profile scoops on both sides, available from Trojan, another wonderful sponsor.

Here are the way the lows look.

Check the sponsors section, ( in red letters in "Topics"), then click on the sponsor's web site addy, ( not the logo), and go to the sponsors site.

Jon;

I am interested in scoops for both sides on my Uly. I like the looks of yours as they match. It seems the right side air scoops you can buy are different looking than the original left side. Do you feel your scoops have improved the cooling, about the same?

Thanks for your response.

There is another thread going right now that has Rob's email address in it. He sells scoops that match the look of the stock one. Check my profile to take a look.

I have one of Rob's scoops on mine as well. It's slightly difficult to install due to one of the bolts not having much room to get a tool on, but it's certainly doable without too much frustration.

The extra scoop does indeed help with cooling.

I recommend it.

I just installed one of Rob's scoops on my '04 XB12S last night. I haven't had a chance to ride it yet but it sure looks cool.

I just e-mailed Rob (who was very responsive BTW), and sent funds via PayPal.

I think that they don't make a plastic one Due to it being to close the the hot header.

Yep, that's the reason all airscoops are made of 2K resin / fiberglass.

Using an ABS plastic in combination with injection moulding would melt the airscoop when installed. Or you should enlarge the distance between the airscoop and the headers, but then it's not symmetrical anymore.

Prices from the two sources I'm looking at are roughly $260-270.00.

Don't know if it's just me but that's a lot of money for a fiber part. I like the shear fact that it adds symmetry but am not to sure the benefits out weight the price. Buells run just fine without the RSS.

169 euros.... that's like 220 some odd US dollars... DAMN THAT EXCHANGE RATE!!!

It's a shame that Europe has SO MUCH MORE after market parts for the Buell than it's home country... then we get hammered with the exchange rate and usually added fees from the credit card company for the conversion...

BLAST!!! it's not right I tell you...!

Totally agree with Boyd! They have more stuff available for Buells than in this country.
