I just saw today on Twisted Throttle's website that they have a set of Hepco & Becker brackets to fit their bags on an XB. To say that I want these is an understatement of immense proportions -- does anyone on the board have these? If you do, I'd love to see some pics and/or hear your comments.

Check them out here:

They are pricey, but I still want them. Thoughts?

Why would you put a 30 liter on one side and a 40 liter on the other?

Sounds like a BMW inspired conspiracy?

I like the Junior Flash with the paintable panels.

Will they fit the Lightning Long (XB12Ss) models?

I don't think so -- if you'll use their "what fits my bike" link on the left side of the page, the H&B mounting racks show up about halfway down the page. the Long models aren't listed.

For bikes with a single high-mount exhaust on one side.

I like the looks of the Junior Flash bags, but I like the top-loading feature of the Gobi bags. It would be nice if someone stocked this stuff somewhere near San Antonio so I could get a look at it first. I could get a Micron for what this would cost!

The racks for those should work on the Gobis too. But it is all spendy, hell its coming out of Germany. Sounds like there is a big hole in the market for making moderately priced brackets to fit the Buells...

I purchased these Chase Harper bags from American Sport Bike and have been very pleased with them. They are on the small side, but they have an elastic seam that lets them expand. The warranty that comes with them from Chase is very impressive.

I think they look pretty good and have gotten all positive comments. Combine them with the Ventura rack and pack system and you can easily pack the the little XB for a week of riding and camping.
