Has anybody on here used a Power Commander II along with the Race ECM? If so, any noticeable gains or performance?

I have...

It needs to be tuned by someone with their head screwed on straight.

I recommend tuning close to sea level with the AFV reset, or if you need to tune at a significantly higher elevation then ride around with the race pipe and ECM for a while and do not reset the AFV.

Unplug the O2 while tuning so the AFV doesn't screw with the fueling while your tuning.

The Direct link is a better solution, but the PCII is cheaper so it's worth looking into if you don't need every last little bit out of the system. It does indeed work.

Be sure to read the manual and pay attention to where they mention "the box". I think with an XB you need to increase the box to 4500 RPM also.

Oh... and do some searches... There's a ton of good info that should answer all your questions.

There is no Power Commander fitment for the Buell models listed, although you may be able to use one listed for the new 2007 Sportster range.

An alternative would be the Rapidbike unit, which is every bit as good if not better than a PC anyway.

Trojan,
How does the rapidbike fueler prevent the Buell ECM from compensation? How about a link to the install instructions?

I had the PCIII on my 2003 XB with the D&D muffler and had nothing but problems. I would definitely recommend the DirectLink (which I have now) over the PCIII. However, I am interested in this Rapidbike system.

Key words right there.........."Nothing but problems!" PC's do not jive with the HD/Buell electronics and computers for whatever reason. I have seen this a thousand times with PC's.
