Hey guys, I was up at Meredith HD/Buell on Saturday and Buell had their test ride event. It was pretty good they had about 12 bikes for the ride. They had a lead rider and tail rider and they lead you on a good 10 or 15 mile loop around some of the lakes up their. The groups filled up quick so I had to wait for 2 cycles before getting in the group but I did manage to get the only 12R, hehe.

I really liked the R alot more then the very first time I rode one. (Probably because I was new to Buell all together) I also could not believe how much more power the 12 has at lower RPMs. I knew it had more but I had a smile every time I got on it. Now I go back to my 9 and it just seams lazy and sluggish down low, I think it might be time to do the Drummer, K&N, open air box and Race ECU that I have been putting off.

Also I wanted to get a jacket but all they had was an XL long, I am thinking I need a medium or Large long. I am 6'4" and 175lbs, and I would like the jacket to be tight, so I am not swimming it like my current jacket, any opinions

Hey Punkid, why not bring that 9 up to the track (N.E. Dragway)this Sat for "test and tune" so you can compare performance before and after the bolt ons?

This Saturday they are running a variety of their weekend offerings including a bracket race for motorcycles "Streetfighters", and a "test and tune" session. My 2 cents is that you might as well sign up for the race ($28.00) because when/if you lose you then get in line for the test and tune ($20.00 if you were just doing test n tune).
As far as what you will run - it really depends on how quickly you adapt to launching it. A front end strap helps keep the wheelies down (let me know if you need help with that). Without a strap you will have a hard time getting below the mid 12's. With a strap low 12's to high 11's would be my guess.
go to www.newenglanddragway.com and click on the calendar for more info.
for e.t.'s slower than 10.99 and speeds below 120 you will need the following:
snell 95 or later helmet
leather or kevlar jacket
leather gloves
boots over the ankles

It was good to see some badwebbers there. I was doing lead/chase most of the day. I think I did ten of the runs - we had a total of 111 demos on Saturday. I think we did a total of fourteen rides. My 'bolt was parked near the demo rides, you probably saw it.

It was definitely an awesome day for riding. 130 miles each way to the dealership plus riding the different models all day long - rough life.

Yep. I had a nice demo ride on a Uly. Other than the fact that it's tall and I have short legs... the ride was nice, comfortable, plenty of power and even sounded half-decent. Grabbed a "bag" and rode around the area for an hour before heading home.

Cruisin - Is your bike the black 'bolt with orange trim? My bike was the Demon Blue S3 with the white frame. Too bad I didn't recognize ya.

Damnut - Get that tire on and come on up! A few others are talking about it, but getting "everybody" to commit to the same weekend has been tough! The good spring air will be gone soon - now's the time to get some good runs in with low e.t.s!
Let me know if you need any help/info ok?

So are the demo bikes the same demo bikes we ran at the Inside Pass track day?

Wait wait wait, I have been trying to get my bike as well as other bikes to go to Epping for a while now. I was supposed to run last year right before the end of the season but I got rear-ended leaving work. And I have been up twice now with my truck this season but wanted to bring my bike up. And now we choose probably the only day I cant go because I have to go to my friends wedding, awwww this sucks
Why don’t we pick another Sunday (I think all most all of them are test & Tune) also we could do either street night, 6pm to 10pm on wed or Fri night? It’s also cheaper at 20 bucks to race. Now I am just being selfish.

relax Punkid, I am there fairly often as I live about 8 miles away!
Sunday is usually points racing, so the best best is either streetnights on Wed. or Fri. nights as you mentioned.
Also check the schedule by clicking on their calendar and you will see when they have the Streetfighter bracket race on Saturdays that are run with test and tune sessions. Other then when I have my kids (don't have them this coming weekend), I'm pretty flexible!
You might even be able to talk me into going Friday night and Saturday!
I post updates on NED events and when I will be there regularily in the "STORM FRONTS" section under "New Hampshire Thunder" and invite anybody in the area to check in over there!

Yep, I was at the demo ride too. I met Lvnlo and a couple other badwebbers. I too rode the yellow 12R. I hated the stock exhaust, but loved the new clutch, though it was so easy to pull in, it almost felt like it wasn't connected.
I forgot how uncomfortable clip-ons are too. My 12S felt like a cruiser after getting off the R. Missed out on the bags too because they were all out of 'em by the time I got there. Still a fun event, and it was good to hear they had a nice turn out.

No track for me this weekend. Going up to Maine with visiting family.

Tunes, that's me, black 'bolt with gold trim (levers, footpegs, adjusters) - bar end mirrors, hella headlights, and other misc. changes.

The Vermont plate CRUISN should have given it away, though. : )

Cgocifer - if you're still interested in a bag, call Heather Johnson at Meredith - she's the sales manager and she had stashed a bag away for me upstairs - she didn't have it handy so she gave me one out of the regular supply. Tell her that you did a demo on Saturday but didn't get a bag, but Chris Hill said one was stashed away. If she's still got it, I'm sure she'll give it up.

I rode almost all the models and I definitely agree that the clutch pull is just so much easier now. I got back on my 04 and couldn't believe the difference.

I do prefer my Special OPS pipe though...
