Ok with gas going through the roof and wages frozen it seems these days for everyone..I have been looking into getting a scooter to try and get ahead..lol

Was wondering if Buell built one...would anyone buy one?

Seems they are getting popular in the US finally and if they could keep the price under $2000.00 seems they would sell more I think than the dirt bike they are working on.....

Just wondering??

That is exactly what I was thinking. LOL I'm getting 55 MPG on my 9, that's good enough.

The Ruckus is the only 2 wheeler my wife would consider riding. How do you like 'em? I think they are very interesting but a little pricey. Are they fun to ride?

How about a Tomberlin Madass? 50cc and fuel in the frame. I wonder where they got that idea?

Oops, I was thinking of the Big Ruckus, MSRP $5499. I did not know there was a little brother <grin>. 40 mph is a tad limiting but 100 mpg sounds good. Maybe I will get her on 2 wheels yet.

Interesting fact:

Tomberlin's use the same headlight assemblies as the Firebolts.

What's a Tomberlin? I've always thought the MadAss was a Sachs?

And is the MadAss available in the states? I'd love to have one as a screw-around ride...

Never mind -- Googled it.

Tomberlin appears to be a chain distributing the Madass. Now I just gotta travel the 64 miles to the nearest dealer.

Time for a weekend ride to Nowhere Arizona...

Craig Vetter made a H.D. powered "scooter" (2-3 yrs. ago), i guess it never really caught - on because i don't think it ever went into mass production. it had an "auto-centrifugal" clutch thing, and was a step thru design !

Sachs makes a 50cc MadAss and a 125cc MadAss.

Defiant Cycle Scooter makes a do it yourself V-twin scooter based on Sportster parts.
