I had to install a new belt on a XB9R '03, the tin/metal guide right behind the front sprocket and sits next to the engine while the front sprocket cover secures it. This had obvious wear marks on it from the belt, so I tried it on with the new belt and the belt rubs on it <adjusted> so I decided to take this off and leave it off.

Has anyone else run with this piece off? Also I like the look with all the Belt plastic off is there anyone running like this also?

Thanks

i took my rear belt cover (or whatever its called) off and i too like the look.

I think it stands a better chance of breaking the belt if the guard isnt on, something about rocks gettin in between the belt and pulley.. it didn't stop me, but i've only put around 1k on mine since removing the guard.
