116 mph? I generally keep it under 110 mph for my morning commute.

I prolly hit 116 on the SV on my way in to work today. Pegged the old rev limiter in 6th on a mile and half long section of trees.

I'm with ya Dj! I try to keep mine under 100! To be honest, I almost expected to see a guy standing there with a mo-hawk on his helmet!

What like that's fast or something? Maybe my Buellitis is distorting my perception of reality.

I'm wondering how much he is going to asking for the bike? It looks pretty nice! Not the fastest color, non the less, still looks nice.

Um, if you are going that fast just run! I don't generally get in to the triple digits, but if I saw a cop while going those speeds I sure wouldn't stop. They aren't supposed to chase anyone going those speeds anyway. They can radio ahead, but that is easily beat by getting the hell off the main roads.

His expression is priceless.

My 8 year old gives me that look when I tell him to turn off the TV. "It's not fair!!!" Maybe he needs a spanking.

OK let's all get up on our soap boxes and make fun of this guy and pretend we're perfect. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

Who on this board has NOT gone over 100MPH on the street in a car or on a motorcycle in their lifetime? Unless, you're perfect, don't trash this guy.

Let's clarify something here: This guy wasn't speeding on some backcounty road with no traffic and great sight lines, he was almost doubling the speed limit on a busy interstate in a marked enforcement zone, with apparently enough cover for a cop to hide in. When a newspaper reporter sticks a tape recorder in his face, he doesn't even have the common sense to keep his mouth shut. That's just foolish. Let's not even get into how many people have had their negative stereotypes of motorcyclists reinforced by this one person's actions.

If this guy didn't want his story discussed he shouldn't have talked to the reporter. He did, so he's fair game, IMO.

I got pulled over for 101 in a 55 while I was on a 1983 Kawasaki Z1100LTD, with my big cuban friend Jose on the back. 4 lane median road in front of my other friend Luke's (lukes bike) house.

I swear he clocked my friend Nelson who said he was doing 125 on his M2, without a full cycle license. Still I get the ticket riding two up on a 83 pos while riding with a sportbike... They knocked it down to 10 over at the courthouse after my lawyer explained that there was a sportbike in front of me who passed me.

Oh btw, Nelson on the sportbike got pulled over with me, said he was going 70 in a 55 and didn't have a cycle endorsement and the officer didn't even write up a ticket for him..

I've found that cops are generally very lenient in my part of the country. I have encountered police cruisers in the triple digit zone a couple of times. I immediately got on the binders hard the second my Escort told me about them, and have never been pulled over at those speeds. They just "mean-mug" me when I go by and I get the heck out of that area.

I have been pulled over speeding in double digit speeds, but even then got a warning each time. I feel like I definitely deserved a ticket every single time, but am of course thankful that they evidently let motorcyclists enjoy their rides a little as long as they're not acting a fool or getting complaints from other motorists.

Ditto on the "photo op". Looks faked. Who's running the camera? And why the hell is the bike parked sideways like that in the middle of the road? And why would the guy be bothering to wear an armored jacket if he wasn't going to wear a helmet? Something smells fishy in Denmark.

Isn't he a badweb member? Could've sworn I've seen that name before....

Keep that picture for your kids as a lesson.

They will learn the important lesson to not buy a blue Buell. Any other color is fine. Just not blue.

Up here in NH they seem to just flash their lights as well. I was doing about 60 in a 30 and the cop just gave me a flash of the lights and a wave.
Of course my friend Dave got pulled over doing 145mph in a 65. He went for it but they radioed ahead to a Game Warden who blocked the exit.
However, he was on an R1 and we all know that those guys need to be pulled over just cause.
