When my clutch pull starts getting stiff...I adjust the clutch & adjust/lube the cable per the service manual. Afterward it feels light & smooth. Lately it starts to feel stiff again after about 200 miles, it used to be more like 3-4000. Any idea what may be happening? Worn Clutch? Worn Clutch cable? BTW, it an 03 XB9S with 18,000 miles. |

Is it the original Clutch Cable? Check for chaffing along the cable? |

Change the clutch cable. Just did mine last month at 17500 miles and it was night and day difference. |

Don't be heavy handed when you tighten up a clutch cable at the engine case end (where the rubber seal is) they break real easy. .....Fulgur. |

Does the Primary Cover need to come off to replace the Clutch Cable? |
