My bike is in an area where I will need to have it covered overnight. Is there any reason not to cover it while its still warm?

Do I have to wait till it cools down..?

As I write this it really seems like a silly question, but I'm always looking for opinions.

If you get a cover near hot header pipes you could melt/burn the cover.

There are no silly questions, only silly people!

If cover is vented and fan is off, there should be no problem covering a warm bike. just watch out for headers if cover is tight.

If you spit on your header pipe and it sizzles then don't put your cover on the bike yet.

Spit is easier to clean up than melted nylon, plus a hole in a nice cover just ain't pretty.

Sky, yer yellin. Congratulations by the way.

About the cover...You could give it a half hour or so after riding to cool off. That would be your best bet. By then mine's usually safe to cover.
