I have my xb9r setup for my weight per the factory guidlines. But the rear seems a little loose when really leaned over. But after reading "Twist of the wrist 2" I found that that could be because I sit up close to the tank instead of further back on the seat. I tried it sitting further back and the bike felt GREAT but I felt like I didn't have the smae control as I do when more forward. Can anyone give me some advise on how to adjust the suspension so I get that GREAT handling but while sitting further forward on the bike...

Thanks

I have spent a lot of time and effort on setting up my XB9R for track use including dropping the front end (not a good idea in my opinion) I did pretty much what you have done and added a bit of rebound damping to dial out chatter in the front end. What I discovered was that the bike responds well to decent tyres (Pirelli Supercorsa Pros SC2 in my case) and to a fairly radical style of riding. I have found that I needed to adapt my fairly conservative Hailwood type style to a Hopkins off the bike technique and the result was extraodinary....the XB is without doubt the best cornering bike I have ever ridden. The one reservation I have is the lack of ride height adjustment which would not usually be a problem on the road but is on the track with my muffler (remus) grounding, however that could be as much (or more) to do with my size and weight than with any shortcoming with the bike. Congrats on dealing with setting up your bike properly before worrying about performance mods. I'll be glad to let you have my set up details if there any use to you (I'm 100k and 6.1) just pm me.

Usually when leaned over I always have the throttle open. But this happens while its just open with constant speed and while slightly accelerating. I don't dare really push it till I'm just about back up strait. I'm still pretty new to bikes so maybe I'm still nervous but I have ridden a gixxer that didn't do it as well as a r6. When I got the new tires I had them check the bearings but they said they were fine and I'd have to dial it out of the suspension. Also off topic but when cruising in town where do you guys usually keep your rpm's.
