I dumped my primary oil last night and noticed it looked a little different than I thought it should. I had the usual small particles stuck to the magnet on the drain plug. But the oil had a grey metallic appearance to it when the sun shined on the drain pan. The bike has just under 4000 miles on it, the first change was done at 500 miles instead of 1000 and the dealer used Sport Trans to refill it. I changed it to Redline 20w50. I don't know what Sport Trans looks like when it is new but, I'm just curious if a somewhat metallic look to it is normal? Do I have a problem? Besides the ones I already know about!!

Nah, no problem. The oil always looks somewhat grey in color after my tranny oil changes. As long as there isn't large chunks of metal floating around in there you're alright.

It sounds normal to me. Tiny clutch particles in the oil will give that appearance. Sports trans should not hurt the bike but primary+ gives you longer change intervals and improved clutch performance with the softer spring. I have never used Redline. Make sure it is wet clutch compatible. I use AMS oil MCV 20w-50 in both holes.

I think a lot of what you describe is condensation. I change mine every 1000 miles and it still looks milky-gray to an extent.
