Hey Guys, I was messing up with my Helmet cam and decided to show you what path I get to college every day... That day the traffic wasn't that bad and I wasn't Late at all... I normally do it in 15 minutes with my bike... if I drive my car it takes around 1 hour!!

Do I have a reason to love my bike or what?

Not really, it's tricky, these bike messengers get killed every day, but they abuse their luck, Iv got HID's at both hi and low beam, with the both on mod, and I keep them always on... Not that it's gonna save me, but it does help. But here in Brazil, riding a bike to work or school its always gonna be something like that...

I really like the hotty that walks buy at one of the stop lights wearing the pink top.

I spent about 7 days in Rio with the Marine Corps. It was good times, the only hard part was that we had been speaking spanish the whole way around South America, then we get to Rio no more spanish.

I would love to go back some day and go to this restaurant that is almost all the way at the end of the public beach near the big rock formation (forgive my stupidity). It was all you can eat steak that they bring out on long skewers, and cut off the piece you want on to your plate. It was only like $20 bucks US and that was with a couple beers. The place right next door was all you can eat seafood.

Rio is one of my top 5 places that I have visited!

Ah, the joys of lane-sharing!

That's the one thing I miss about L.A.

Cool Vid Cacciola!

THAT'S IT I'M MOVING!!! RIO HERE I COME!!!

Something about the video really spoke to my deathwish side.

In all seriousness if you get the audio under control (lower the peak level, less distortion), you might be in possession of the best Buell video I have seen.

Way to go

"HOLY CRAP!"
Keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times.

Cool vid but man you would get shot for doing that here. Did you pass a cop in the first vid?

If you tried to cut traffic like that here in Houston during rush hour you would probably get shot at! Folks trapped in their cars would go nuts seeing bikes fly by like that. At the very least HPD or Harris County Sheriff would be writing you up.

Those two buses freaked me out a bit, I thought you were going to split them as well. Glad you didn't!

Thanks, fun to watch.
You couldn't do that here - the other drivers here are not at all gracious to motorcycles!

That's one long tunnel - The longest in Pittsburgh is a little over a mile long.
How long is that one there?

Hey, there are at least 2 Buells in the first video. There is an Orange Uly at about 4:35. Do you know who that is? I must say that I was surprised that you were the only bike on the road riding like that. It seems to me that if it were widely accepted, other bikes would be traffic cutting as well. I did see a few filtering at stoplights, but that is tame compared to weaving in moving traffic. But, I'm jealous. I can't even filter past cars at lights here in Iowa.

Listen to that fan scream!! It's on almost the entire second video.

Actually it is totally legal to do that around here, all bikes can do that, but around here, sport bikes or any bike above 250cc or 20 hp are rare...that's why I was moving way faster than they were It was cool to meet the uly guy but I dont know who was it...

Speed limit around here is 80kph at these roads thru the vid...
I wasn't rushing at all, not that I'm saying I was going slow, but usually I do it way faster than that... but there are some stuff you just cant record... lol, imagine if my dad watches it...

About the tunnel, it's called Zuzu Angel, its 1.600 meters long... pretty long and always crowded!!

Thanks for watching guys.

One weird thing, is that I posted this video not as a show off but just to show you guys how bad is traffic around here, riding like this is totally normal around here, is a matter of different countrys different coultures, people in another forum are blaming me for reckless riding and such, Im no ghost rider, like I said before, that's just everyday ride for school, I wasn't even in a hurry...

Sorry if that did look wrong to you, it wasn't my intention, I dont wanna look like a squid.

While I might say your ride was a little "spirited" I don't think it was completely out of line.

Just remember that here in the US there is only one place you can lane split, California. Even there, there are restriction on how you can split.

Every-time I see video posted from another country I see the same response "what a squid, he makes us look bad..."

People need to get out more, and see the world...

Totally different culture!

I don't know if I could trust the drivers around me to ride like that. I was tempted to cut a corner and ride down the sidewalk and across a park while waiting at a light today, but common sense took over and I just waited it out.

After seeing the second clip, I could only imagine trying that here, I probably wouldn't get 10 cars before someone would purposly cut me off.

How do the other motorists accept lane splitting?

+1 different culture.

In L.A. I've seen some cars move a bit off to the side if they see a bike coming!

Then again, I recall a cager in his Escalade that made it a point to NOT let me pass.

I probably fed his road rage when I ziped passed him on the right, after he cut me off on the left.

Cacciola, I wish I could ride like that to work. Every time I pull up to a stoplight line I want to pull between the lines and run to the front. I applaud your riding. I just wish the US would get their panties out of their @$$ and let motorcyclists utilize their abilities.

Well they do accept it, but you gotta be concerned that sometimes they are not doing it on purpose and change lanes without looking at their mirrors, but as long as you dont kick their mirrors ( bike messengers do that ) they dont care and just envy you... : ). Once you get stuck between 2 cars, one of them usually turn their wheel all the way to the opposite side and open the way for you, I love when that happens and thank them all the time.

Watching this video reminds me of the old mountain biking flick "TREAD" that had a sequence with a London Hooligan motorbike messenger. Totally Road Warrior style. Wish it were a little easier to have that kind of fun on North American soil.

Nice vid.
