I've got an 06 Uly that wobbles at highway speeds and the rear pulls to one side under trail braking. Buell and my local dealer refuse to acknowledge that there is a handling issue after they had their regional rep ride it. I just had a frame specialist check it out and he found it way out. What can you do when your Buell service dept. says it's ok and maybe it's just not the right bike for me (I test rode their demo twice and it doesn't have handling issues) and Buell customer service shines you too. The engine has shut off 3 times on the freeway, flipping the kill restarts it, the BAS recall parts are on their way... Fixing the rear wheel alignment will take a longer/ modded bolt where the swing arm attaches and of course a lot of labor and money. The bike's only 3 months old! I see why you all like your Uly's as I just had to have one after the test ride. But after this ordeal, yikes. Has anyone else had to lawyer up?

Can you be more specific as to the road conditions when you are "trail braking?"

Did the frame specialist document what was/is "way out?" Did you show this to the Buell rep?

I assume you have Dunlops on your Uly. I am not a big fan of any tire that has a tread that runs fairly straight all the way around the tire like the stock Dunlops do. I think or I should say I feel it "follows" rain groves or steel grates causing a wobble. I am also running a Cee Baileys 16" windshield that I'm sure doesn't help in the wobble department. That being said I have almost 11000 miles on the front Dunlop and about 6000 on the rear. I will be using the Pirelli Stradas for my next set of tires and will post how they do.

Contact Court, HE IS THE MAN when it comes to getting the ball rolling.

I love my ULY!!! I bought it less than 10 months ago, It has almost 11000 miles on it now. Once you get it dialed in to suit you I'm sure you will be as happy as I am!

I will be using the Pirelli Stradas for my next set of tires and will post how they do.

The Stradas do away with the high speed wobble. Carlos' only complaint is that the Stradas do not handle the dirt as well as the D616's. We are on our 2nd set of Stradas and Carlos rides in all types of weather and our Uly is sitting at 19,000 miles.

Breezy - give it a chance. If your dealer isn't listening, is there another dealer in your area? You will find a wealth of information here from fellow Uly owners. They can give you more day-to-day info and insight than any dealer or manual can. This board has saved several of us, more than once, lots of heartache. Try posting your Uly issues or fun on the Big, Bad and Dirty Section. It's geared towards Uly owners.

Thanks all for the advise, I posted details to Court. I did try another set of tires (Metzler M1) and found the 'wobble' and steel bridge 'ice rink' disappeared, but the braking and turn in were not improved. I think the Dunlops actually smoothed out bumps better and allow for higher speeds on the chunked up twisties I ride. When I get the swingarm alignment sorted, I'll try the Pirelli's if there is still wobble.

I had tons of issues with my Buell that the dealer and Buell rep refused to acknowledge. I wrote Buell Customer Service a letter requesting repurchase of my bike under WA state lemon law. They did it. It was about a month from the time of the letter till it got settled.

"I had tons of issues with my Buell that the dealer and Buell rep refused to acknowledge. "

That really sux. I own 5 Buells, only bought one brand new, but the dealership, treated me well, sorting out all the small issues I had.
Glad to see that BMC Customer Service bought the bike back, good thing your state has a lemon law.

I hope this doesn't give you a sour taste for Buells. They truly are a remarkable motorcycle.
