Matt, funny but the way you describe the styling of the Brutale and TnT are EXACTLY the way I describe the Triumph Speed Triple! |

Just my .02, but I've always loved the Duke models and would take a SuperDuke in a heartbeat if I were allowed a 2nd bike. They are pretty darn close to perfect for what I look for in a bike. It seriously hurts KTM that the local dealer here is bottom of the barrel trash. I would buy bikes from the local crack dealers before that shop. |

Both the Brutale and TNT look to me like crashed sportsbikes that have been hastily rebuilt without the fairings. I'll second that. I like the Super Duke from what I've read and seen in the mags. Haven't seen one in the flesh. I've ridden the TNT, it was ok, couldn't get used to how it rode though it did have good power. Sorry Rocket, I guess you'll have to break out the Valium. |

Matt, funny but the way you describe the styling of the Brutale and TnT are EXACTLY the way I describe the Triumph Speed Triple! They are all beauties compared to that naked BMW that came out last year. One magazine said it looked like a giant magnet rode through a junk yard. The SD look like a great bike to me. But I love the Brutale too. The only reason I'd get off my Buell is that sometimes I want something exciting to happen when I grab a hand full of throttle, and the SD offers that. But, the XB keeps me out of trouble, and handles great, stoppies, all that fun stuff. |

What do you guys know about styling? You all think Buells are attractive! |

Beside hating radiators on bikes I must say I think the Brutale is an amazing looking bike. If I could afford one it would be in my garage(next to the buell of course). I would ditch the front light though and stick a lightning headlight setup on it. Anymore its rare to see a bike that can set next 50 other motorcycles and you instantly know which is yours. Its why I bought a lightning and wish I could afford a brutale. I would disagree w/ trojan on the fact that the SD is such a outside the box design. Granted it has a ducati tail section but being a naked bike it looks to bulky. The swing arm is very dirt bikish and just doesnt look right on a sport bike. The headlight is ungly just like the brutale. The funky wing likes things on the gas tank go over about as well as the ones on the ducati 998(they redesigned that bike quick like). Thing is that we are humans and have diff tastes.. to each his own. Now im going to go buy something from trojan so he doesnt remove me from this planet. I would love to agree with Rocket on the MV thing, but unfortunately I remember when MV was a proper company making proper (expensive!) bikes with sand cast magnesium cases.....The latest MV offerings are just too sanitised for my tastes. I would also have serious issues with paying around GBP500 for a replacement Brutale headlight unit (nearly US$1000) if it broke. I also happen to know a few Brutale owners who have nothing but bad things to say about build quality, reliability etc, and who would not buy another MV even in a sale. Shame really, nice name, shame about the bike |

I think the full-faired MV's are the best looking bikes out there. To back up what Matt said, I was at Pocono and an MV puked coolant all over the track. The only breakdown of the day. I can't remember what type of fluid he had in it, but it was a mess and steam was pouring out like Vesuvious. I never found out what the failure was. |

I like the tuono and the super duke but the duke has a 34" seat height and the tuono is about the same as my xb so I think I'll keep the xb or maybe get a City X I think I like them more than my ss |

Brutales unreliable? I don't know anyone with one, and everyone I've seen for sale seems to be no more than 3500 miles ridden. For now I've decided not to buy one anyway. I'm of the opinion the market is flooded with 750's that aren't selling for the 6K or so their owners are asking. I reckon they'll be way down in price in another year. Under 4K, and maybe then Ill have a go at one. Rocket |

My friend has a Brutale 910s, rides the piss out of it, and hasn't had a single problem (well... he did have one minor problem... a small oil leak that has since been fixed). The 750 had a lack of bottom end, I understand. They definitely fixed that in the 910! |

The Duke is nice, but for my tastes its that new 950 that is getting me jones-in for the "other" orange. If somebody wants to donate the bike to me, I will be happy to do a full field test and comparison to my City-X * Mud, its whats for Dinner *

I've yet to ride the 910 and daren't just in case I like it too much, which I'm sure I will. I just can't justify spending over £12.000 on a new one, and used 910's are not reasonable enough money yet. There are at least 20 used 750's for sale in the UK that I can find advertised without digging really deep. Most are around 6k, but that's way too much money now the 910 has eclipsed the 750. Don't get me wrong, the 750 was great to ride despite its well reported shortcomings below 4 thou rpm, but I'm greedy now and want less for less. Rocket |

Yeah, baby! The Wraith is one cool lookin' ride. Ya know, though, in the video it almost looks like the seat should be moved forward a l'il bit for balance. Oh yeah, back on topic; the KTM Super Duke is way cool, way fast, handles great and costs way too much. I'd love one, but I couldn't justify paying that for a new one. Maybe used someday... I was on the Duke and it is very nice ergos, motor is good, handling great, but the finish is kinda cheap looking for over 12000, the tank looks like a dirt bike tank that is gona fade. |

Seen the bike in person... Not for me. Too tall. Too ugly. Too expensive. I like to work on my own bikes and the Sduke doesn't look like much fun or easy to work on. Also, does KTM have the dedicated following that Buell has created and owners have nurtured? I'd have to say no. This site, the people who make this site so useful and fun and all the Bueller's I've met, make owning a Buell more than just owning a motorcycle. There are lots of damn good bikes out there, but they cannot compete with the Buell community, and that is priceless. You can have your MV, KTM, Roer, Wakan, Ducati, Aprilia, etc... I'll keep my Buell, thank you. |

My feet were out when I bottomed out. Damn ground clearance. The Uly was the cam bike. I didnt know he was filming that segment. Some of the other stuff was a bit hairier (sp?) I think the new SM950 would be more my KTM style if I were ever to cross to that brand. ( I would not trade in though) |

super duke is ugly ? now have you really taken a non-biased look at our beloved buells ? my 9 is soo ugly.... it's buelltiful ! how can it be both ugly & attractive (?). i guess you gotta get to know her . i come from the days of chrome bumpers etc. and i always thought that painted bumpers etc. were ugly as piss ! but, now those kinda things have grown on me. (kinda like XB 's & superdukes ) |

I saw the black Super Duke, and it looks 100% better than the orange version. With the orange all you see is the scattered orange panels. It is totally disjointed and looks like a geometry lesson gone wrong. With the black you can see the whole shape of the bike, and a good bit if the engine. much easier on the eyes. As one of the magazine guys said: when you are riding it, you won't care what it looks like. |

I sold my XB and now have a Brutale. I liked the look of the Duke in black but didnt like the flighty front end on test ride (may have just been that bike), power was strong in comparison to the XB. Brutale has proved to be very disappointing bike, considering selling it already as suspension is rubbish, seat is worst possible, bars are too low and vibrate like crazy, mirrors dont work when engine is running and whole bike has unbearable buzz that sends your body numb. |

If KTM released the Superduke in the States at the same time they did in Europe, there is a very good chance I'd be riding one of those now and not my XB12Ss. Now that I have the XB12Ss, I'm not likely to change any time soon. I'm not like a lot of people who change their bikes like I change my socks. I figure to have the XB12Ss for a few more years yet. I better... I just plunked down $1,500 for a custom paint job!! |
