So today was a great day here in Seattle. I took the bike out for a little ride.

Just as I got the bike out to the middle of nowhere it started to lose power. Finally it died...

I got it to the side of the road, and then started scratching my melon.
First thing I looked at was whether I had any fuel. It was 3/4 full.

It was then I that I remembered reading on here about loose battery cables. Popped the seat off, and sure enough the + cable was loose.

Tightened it up, and I was on the road in about 3 minutes.

Just wanted to point out what a wealth of info BWB can be, you'll never know when you will use it.

I went for a solo ride in N. Georgia and stopped at an overlook to rest and enjoy the view. When I got back on the bike, it started, but would die every time I let the clutch out. It only took me 15 seconds to realize my kickstand safety switch had failed and all I needed to do was cut the wires and twist them together. I had a pocketknife and had the bike fixed in less than a minute.

The only reason I even knew about the kickstand safety switch (or even what it was), was because I had read about it on the BadWeb. This was 7 years ago, btw.

My bike still has the same roadside repair.

I found my kickstand pivot bolt loose and fixed it before I lost the kickstand thanks to the good folks on Bad Web.
