The demo rides at March Badness did me in. I'm really considering buying a used XB12..can't afford a new one.

However, did the Lightning ever come in Blue? I've seen lots of Firebolts in blue...but can't seem to figure out which year Lightning might have?

05 was a blue year for the Lightning,
06 as well, only a darker blue.
There very well be other years.

Thanks guys...so where can I see a comparison of the different Blues?

I've always been a blue guy...not red. My Miata is blue, my SV was blue, but I'm thinking it may not be the most popular XB color. Correct?

WHen you get the Buell, consider keeping the Hawk. Besides being one of the greatest products Honda ever produced, it is also become a collectors item. And I hope you find yourself a nice blue XB.

Cochise really have my heart set on black
the buell looks so good in black and silver

May end up just painting but it would be nice to start with black plastic

Doerman, yep I have a grey HawkGT that is in pristine condition. It was ahead of it's time and if you live near the twisties it is a great bike to have.

Glitch, thanks for the photos.

Terrys, if my wife gives me the go-ahead and I find a black one...I'll we happy to swap plastic with you.

2005 XB12Scg Love this blue. For me its one of the colors which look best with the gold rims!
