Get the defib! I'm having a heart attack! I called my dealership to find out how much it would cost to get a set of Pirelli Diablo T's for my XB12Ss. I was told the front tire was $151, the rear tire was $196 and it was a total of 2.5 hours of labor to mount and balance them ($245). $592.00 for a set of tires??? And that doesn't include the tax even! Are you KIDDING ME???

I'm going back to the BMW dealer for a set of Metzelers again. That's absurd!

american moto tire did me right 250 for a set of corsa 3's brought em to the dealer had them install....careful if u have a dealer do it though...they might want to replace ur bearings and so on while they have it apart...kind of a safey thing they cant really let u go out the door with bad bearings and such ...so it could end up costing u more than anticipated....i think the motorcycle superstore had pirellis on sale too.

But two and a half hours? C'mon, I watched the races at Daytona... I saw how long it took to switch tires...

Yeah, that installation is pretty ludicrous. Our local store does it for $30.00 per tire if you bring them the bike, $20.00 if you bring them just the wheel and tire. Of course, those prices are if you buy the tires from them.

That's robbery!

Find a different shop, or mail order the tires and have someone mount them for you.

I mail order and use a friends NoMar tire changer. Even a complete amateur like me can do a set of tires in less than an hour. That's on a manual changer!

I use a 6 inch C-clamp, a 7 dollar pair of tire irons, and some soapy water. takes about 20 minutes. a valve core removal tool is helpful.

I find doing it yourself is worth it. Get some tire spoons and you can make a home made balance machine but usually they don't require weights. $592.00! Holy Freakin (Put cuss word here) That is more than it cost to put 235/75/15s on my 4WD Jeep Cherokee. I wouldn't be polite to that quote.

I just had four all-terrain tires installed on my Subaru Outback and you're right... it didn't cost anywhere NEAR $600 to have that done!
