I'm giving serious consideration to changing my XB12R from Black (with red wheels and screen) to White bodywork. Finding used bodywork in excellent condition is daunting, ESPECIALLY in white.

Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost buy these peices from the dealer? I would need a new fairing, chin spoiler, tail section, front fender, airbox, and seat cowl. And new letters for the tank.

I have a white firebolt, the plastics are 9 out of 10. Just normal everyday riding wear, with a small rub mark on the tail piece just above the brake light from mounting saddle bags for long distance trips. I'd love to have black plastics........

PM me if your interested in a trade!!

Let me think about the trade. I really to have top notch body peices for the new bike (not saying yours are junk, btw).

The two issues are I'd like to keep my stock ones in case i ever want to back to black (you know what they say - once you go black, you never go back ;)). The other being your airbox is not compatible with mine (I have an '07 with the grille behind the gas cap). I don't think they made a white R with that style airbox.

your right, the airbox grille isnt present on the 06 (?) and earlier bikes. Forgot about that. Let me know if you change your mind.

the white airbox cover on the TT will work on the R and it has the Grill behind the cap.

You are looking at $700 to $800 for a full set of Firebolt body work. Daves posted prices in the sponsors section some time back.

Thanks - I actually just got back from the dealer and was quoted retial of just under $700 for all the plastic and the airbox letters and decals. The said if I order they might be able to do better than that.

I'm still deciding if I'd like the look or not...

XL1200r why change I think your color combo is the best Buell has made at least in XBs! That bike is sex on 2 wheels. When I first saw pics I fell in love with it.But as a single parent with a daughter in collage and no help from EX I will have to stay with my 03s for at least 3 more years.

I don't disagree that the black and red is hot, but I've always liked White, and it would be cool to have something a little different that stands out a bit.

I haven't decided if I want to do this for certain, but it's on the table for sure.
