At the Drag Strip you pervs!!
It was Nancy's maiden voyage on her "new"
XB12R drag prep'd bike.
Me, Cosmo and our Son showed up to lend a hand and give her some support.
We met her and Coolice there. They were set and ready to run, but the bike idled ok but would bog down at 3,000rpm.
After a minute of head scratching, we decided to pull the plugs and yep, they were as black as the night.
Coolice cleaned them off , reinstalled them, we fired her up, and she ran great.
NOW, keep in mind, other than the strut replacing the shock, and the wheelie bar, which was a Valentine gift from Coolice, the bike is bone stock. Next is a race ECM and pipe (sponsor, Drummer,Odie,D&D, insert name here)and some tweaking here and there, I KNOW Nancy will pick up even more speed.
She was amazed at the difference between the 12 and her 9. She seemed nervous at first, as any sane person would be, but the more passes she made, the more confidence she gained. Like anyone that rides, she has to relearn the throttle and "dump" the clutch technique required for drag racing. It's got to be hard to fight the urge to feather the clutch, even knowing you have a wheelie bar back there.
All in all she did great. Her MPH went up, and she knocked 4+ seconds off her E.T.
Here are some photo's, in no particular order. And no, that was NOT her best time.

I'm not sure as she has all the slips. I can't wait to see her times come down as more mods are done to the bike and she gets more seat time.

Day 2 testing over. M2guy was there today with his 12R. so Fiery had a "rabbit to chase". Those two ran multiple times and Fiery picked the pace up, and bettered her times to pass up M2guys time. He packed it up to relax. CJ and Fusa21 came today and cheered us on! Fiery finished the day with several more runs and a few adjustments. The 2 day test went well and she learned alot, along with getting familiar with her 12R . Good job Fiery!

Coolice, can you give me a call if you get a free minute? We are assembling a XB12 engine for the Road America Moto-st event and I wanted to find out what you had to do to limit power to 90hp.
