I bought a Select Seat for my 06 City X.
Tried to put I on for the first time. And what a poor fit!! On one side of the seat there is a large gap, on the other side it's hitting the airbox cover. Anyone else have this problem?

I don't have one yet but am thinking about it. I would lay it on a flat surface and see if it looks warped. If so, get it exchanged.

I hear ya, CityX Pilot! I have had all sorts of trouble getting any of the aftermarket seats to fit my '05 CityX properly. I have tried the Select, Streetfighter, a regular "S" seat, and even an '07 CityX seat. None of them sit flush with my rear subframe, some having gaps of close to an inch or more. What is the deal???

My stock seat fits perfectly and I'm thinking I may just get it refoamed/covered to make it a bit more comfortable and less slippery.

Odd....we just put a select seat on my buddies 06 CityX a couple weeks ago to try it out, it fit just fine. I wonder if there is maybe a QC problem where they are made?

I had a Streetfighter seat and now a Select seat. Both have big gaps at the rear.
The stock seat fits fine.

No crash here, either. Having tried so many different options on my bike, I almost get the feeling that the seat makers have different specs for the seat pans than the actual measurements.

Mine fits perfectly. Better than the stock low seat actually.
I'm pretty sure mine's from the first batch of Selects made. I put my order in the moment the new seat was announced.
So maybe the newer batches have some flaws??
