i recently installed an '07 inner airbox on my '05 12, i have been running a K&N since getting the bike, but now noticed the inner airbox does not sit tight on all sides of the filter when the lid is clamped down. i could actually wiggle the filter on the left side, creating a gap. its very loose. this is of course noticeable with more cutouts/access in the '07 lid.

anyone else notice this issue? 1 other Bueller on another forum noticed the same thing when he checked. has me curious now.

he solved the gap/fitting issue by installing a self adhesive section of foam to the underside of the filter edge. nice and snug now. i will do the same. BUT...

has my K&N had a gap all this time with the stock cover ??? hmmmmm.

FYI ... YMMV ... and all that jazz.
