Since there have been several color combinations of airbox covers and Buell call outs / nameplates since '03, is there a chart or list that has the colors and part numbers ? I'd like to get the last of the amber color off of the bike soon.

I don't know about part numbers, but I'd go with black if you can find it.

I use a large scrapbook with every Buell graphic since 1987.

What are you looking for?

I just ordered the chrome letters (off an '03 XB9S) for my black airbox - only problem is that the "American Motorcycles" below it says "XB9S" in the background (I have a 12Ss) - do you know of any year/model/color Buell that came with a neutral color (black, white, gray, etc.) "American Motorcycles" that I could get my hands on? I like the "A-M" on there - I want it still to say that so no one mistakes my bike for Japanese! The stock ones I have has gold accents, I could deal with Red on there - but the Orange-Red color Ss is a little too much Orange. Any thoughts? Thanks!!

I went to the dealer and looked thru the parts books, but the weren't a lot of help from the descriptions.
I'm thinking the callouts from this CityX will look good on the bike. What year are we looking at here ?

What color is that on the citycross lid?

I cant tell, is it silver or white?
I like the way the "amer......cles" is underscored with a graphic!

I found the pieces on ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BUELL-LIGHTNING-HER O-BLUE-AIRBOX-CITY-AIR-BOX-03-07_W0QQitemZ27010073 8668QQcategoryZ35568QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZV iewItem is the item listing.
He has it listed as "Hero Blue". The graphic lookssilver to me to match the frame color. I'm guessing that it is from a pre-'06, as it has a solid grommet between the front of the airbox cover and the fuel tank inlet. My '06 has the honeycomb screen in the grommet to allow air into the airbox.

This isn't my auction, BTW.

Yep, that is definitely an 05 cover posted above.
It has the solid piece because 05 and older XBs get their air through the frame on the left side.
