I would go with the SS on the XB12 and the Micron on the XB9. I have the SS and love it. Great power where I need it. The micron is very similar in power on the XB12 but allows for more power above 6400 rpm (on paper anyway). I see you have Uly. So there really is no point to build power that high up on the RPM band. Can't use it anyway. Also you will be spending several hundred more on just the exhaust on the Micron for that last 300 rpm before you hit the limiter. Not worth it IMO. Then you have a Race ECM that is a must with the Micron or a custom Map. The SS you can run with stock ECM. Takes a couple of days of re-learn before full power is felt though.

I agree with XBswede on going with the Drummer. However the wait time is about 6 months (last time I checked) on the SS. I went the original drummer which now has a stainless back plate and tip. It rocks!

Caddypat,

I have a Drummer SS and you'll never repack it.

I have The Drummer on a 07 XB9R. I got it about a month and half ago. I LOVE it!! Sounds great and performs great as well. I sent Kevin my stock muffler and got it back in 1 week flat, however I live in Virginia and KD Fabrications is located in North Carolina. I know Kevin did say something about a 6 month waiting period?? I don't really know the difference between Mine(the one made from the stock one)and the SS but if you want a awesome drummer FAST just send Kevin your stock muffler. I'm sure you will not be disappointed!!

I have a Micron system on my XB9S and I am very satisfied with the overall power the smooth power curve and sound that comes out. It certainly makes my bike sound stand out!
