Is it possible to take the colored airbox cover from the newer models (cg) and put it on an 03? Few to no mods would be great.

Yes, all the bodywork is interchangeable from all XB models. I put the Valencia Orange clear bodywork on my 2004.

how much did an orange cover cost ?

is that brand new straight from Buell ?

I kinda like the Cherry & the pitch black - I have the kick ash 9SX right now - but I like the idea of a cherrycover fo sho..!

I put a transparent blue (hero blue?) airbox cover on my white '03 9R. It definitely stands out and I get asked about it all the time.
I found mine used on eBay. Not in perfect condition, but a lot cheaper than ordering a new one.

Well, there is an issue with putting the 05(?) and earlier airbox cover on later XB's which draw in air thru the "grille" in the cover rather than thru the frame.
