Have Buell stamped in the seat pan, but no "logo" on the seat itself. Look familiar to anyone? Thanks. Yes. I know they're for a R. I believe they're made by Buell???!!

I'd say possibly SARGENT seats out of Jacksonville, FL. Possibly someone that does their own work. Even SARGENT uses the stock seat pan and just reskins the stock foam or can add new foam.

Since the topic has been brought up now, I'm having both of my seats redone with memory foam by a guy right now. I figured I would get it done and see what I think of it before I spread the word, but oh well. I don't like the Buell upgraded Bolt seat, and there is no way I can justify $350 for a Corbin that will probably chew through my battery cables.

The guy is just going to take the stock foam out and replace it with as much memory foam as he can fit in there. He does do shaping and customization if someone is looking to change the stock shape, and he can do the lightnings or any other seats too. I think this could be a good cheaper option for people in the same situation I'm in. I'll let you guys know when I get my seats back.

Better views. I still say these were offered through Buell. Some one prove me right or wrong.

Looks like the touring seat that has been rewrapped in new leather. Only reason I think that is because it has the same shape as the easier on the butt touring seat.

Who did you get the pics from because it looks like you took them. Also looks like someone was trying to copy the materials in the new select seat or at least the look.

See the two little number dials on both seat pans? Those are date code stamps. What numbers do the arrows point to?

I don't know about the covers, but the pans are definitely from Buell. The two part numbers on then starting with M are both Buell factory numbers.

Point to 4 and 02. But that's when the pans were made. They can sit for years.
But, knowing where the bike was purchased from and from where that person worked, there's little doubt in my mind that the seats are factory. Maybe an early model.
Either way, they're in brand new condition.

I will tell you that the Part numbers on the bottom corrospond to 2003 XB9R stock seats

M0090.02A8, seat, rider, complete
M0091.02A8, seat, passenger, complete

Someone did a nice job of rewrapping them.
