i know this has been asked but everywhere i looked, nothing was actually said about whether it can be done or not for an 07 Scg. were thinking that we can take a little more out of the seat by putting in one of those gell pads. but can you take anymore out of the suspension.

I suppose the cg suspension could be lowered more by those who know what they're doing (such as suspension specialists) but you'd be sacrificing ride quality unless the roads you ride are immaculately smooth.

Also to consider is the loss of ground clearance. It's only 3.55" on the cg as it is in stock form.

I don't know if I would lower a Scg suspension anymore than it already is.

I know mine bottoms out more than I would like as is. Even set at the factory recommendations for my weight and riding style.

have to move the exhaust and go to something like the XR750 exhaust set-up, I am considering this for my CityX Not to lower it, but to get more ground clearance. of course a custom seat pan will accomplish lowering too. There is that gap where side rails is, you could lower there as long as you dont interfere with the fan cooling

You didn't say, but I'd assume someone's having trouble even with the low height of the Scg. See this link for suggestions to help:
