anyone have a web site that shows how to safety wire bolts on my bike? ive got the basic idea of doing it, but if anyone knows of anyplace that explains it or gives tips on doing it, please let me know.

this is the website for the northeast ccs club at loudon. they have a rule book that you can down-load that has wire sizes, drill sizes and twisting methods for all sorts of bolt configurations.

I suspect you know but you'll need to buy a saftywire drill set/jig too. Otherwise you will probablu break a few drillbits.

good overview, but like jetrider said, check with the track youa re riding at to see if they have specific requirements...unless you are just doing it for shiz and giggles

Check with your race organization. They vary TONS.

AMA for example doesn't require half the safety wire as most of the Clubs.

Buy a half dozen 1/16 drills - buy the drill fixtures. Use a drill press. Use coolant/lube - PECK DRILL - don't drill in one pass (it'll break the drill every time and you end up with bolt heads that look like porcupines)
