pretty cool, but the dual shocks ruin it for me. wonder where some of that inspiration came from ;)

It is actually pretty cool...I have seen pictures of Russell riding a black Buell lightning, so it would stand to reason to copy the best model he could...I like the kidney sticks...but to each his own right?

Nice bike to show off the amount of money you have. It's cool but there are some custom buells that look better than that for < 1/4 of the price.

yeah, i've seen the Buell pics too. he also sold a 9 on eBay didn't he?

i shouldn't have said 'ruins it for me' 'cause i'd rock that shite in a heartbeat... should have said, wish it had a single rear shock. it would make that stubby azz look even better. i dig RM's work all around. clean style.

EDIT: Isham, i hear that! oh the XB in my head i could build if i had $60K layin' around!

I like it, but it needs better lights.

And there is one too many zeros in the price.

Why would anyone put the muffler under the engine?!?!?!?

In all seriousness - I'm not a huge fan of carbon (I hear it's causing global warming over in the Quick Board ;) ), but that bike is sharp.

Single rear shock, single sided swingarm, a little more tail and a little less rake and that bike would be near perfect.

I saw it in person and sat on it and talked with Russell for a good 15 minutes at the bike show up here in Canada last month. Very interesting design (although the trike is my all time favorite "chopper") top notch fabrication and fitment. The thing just looks plain mean. I did find, however that sitting on it felt very much like a suped-up sportster....not quite a sport bike feel....

Looking at that makes me appreciate how beautiful an S1 (with 1 hour of "un EPA and DOT it" customization work) really is.

(not slamming anybodies creation, just noting that 1996 production bike is far more appealing to me in just about every regard then a "full custom").

I don't see $75,000 dollars worth of bike.

For $75,000, I could get one of these:

AND two of these:

I like his work, but it's always been highly overpriced.

Absolutely appalling!! and for $75,000 you would have to be seriously deranged to want one of those! Looks more like a $750 scrapheap special Rat Bike to me.

I want to see him ride it in the rain!! Looks too long and top heavy, no trilogy of tech on that bike.

but he'll get 75K X who knows how many orders. wow. Rat bike for the Rich! genius!

i still dig it though, just needs some tweaks. i really like the tail unit from the rear, looks all plain with no signals, etc. but they are actually behind that black screen. when lit up you can see signals/brake/etc.

this reminds me of an article i just read about one of the Confederate bikes from one of the major mags. ragged on it to almost no end. completely useless machine except for the eye candy. oh, well. even though i'll never own any of them, i like to see all these ideas get created. nothing could be as bad as the Tomahawk ;)

I just bought a superbly-engineered 12R, and now realize that for only 10 TIMES what I spent on the R I could have had one of these babies. Boy, am I stupid!

Everyone seem to complain about all the "choppers" being the same. He is going az different way with the custom bikes. I would think that we of all riders could appreciate the different approach. I kinda like it. Reminds me a little of the S1.

Out of all the "Choppers" out there I liked what Indian Larry was doing and I think R.Mitchell has the best paint.

$75000.00 = 7 new Buells with new riding gear and some track days.

It's ok I guess. Not your ordinary custom made from mail order that's for sure. One thing I can't get over, is the forward controls. I can't ride forward controls at all, I've tried, but I don't feel as in control.

I like the bike, but I do have to wonder what the price per pound is...you gotta figure if you are paying more than $20-25 per pound on a bike it is a bit steep, that thing could weigh what...600 lbs on the outside, and that is prolly generous so you are paying $125 per pound, use the multiplier on an average buell at say 450 lbs and that bike would cost $56,250.00...wow...

Doughnut, if it had a Buell motor and frame it be the coolest thing since sliced bread to the nay-sayers ;)

Liquorwhere, while I agree with the others that the price is just looney... its got custom CF everywhere. i'm not a CF fan but wheels, tank, etc. for even production bikes are crazy cashish.

Should have rear sets. 75K rat bike is like the 50K Tahoe 4x4 that you will NEVER take off road, or engage the all wheel drive. Its a tax on the rich and inept. More power to him for being able to separate a fool and their $ . Only slightly less over the top than the Confederate HellCat, which is along the same lines. 75K would get me a FULL garage of BUELLS : D

I have a custom bike, and I know what they cost to build, me and my buddy built it, and it was a horrific experience for my bank account, but I still was well under that amount, $60,000.00 for a kit to build it??? All the custom fab on that bike is not $60,000.00 worth...and I do like his stuff better than all of the builders out there, but still I don't like it that much...hopefully sooner or later one of these guys will truly come up with something revolutionary and then all of the wanna be builders and crack pot TV shows we suffered through might have been worth it....maybe.
I would still take the Ducati and the cash to run the wheels off of it in Europe. That is easily done for $75,000.00.....

i wonder what Russells answer is for the price tag. lots of his other bikes can be had for under 50K, some at only 35K. heh, only. that's funny.

even though i like this latest effort, the "Bullfighter" is still my favorite by him, that is one sick lookin' cruiser. but as Glitch mentioned, i dont see the point of a bike with forward controls. there would have to be a serious shift in my brain before i could own something that isn't meant for sport riding.

ummmm.....those are mid controls, not rear sets by any stretch, but not forward either, very neutral position. It could be used for some sport riding..if the balance doesn't suck...

On the site it says that kit's over $20K get a 10% discount off the retail cost of the parts.
Of course the parts are insanely expensive.
But then if there are people willing to pay...

I'm surprised that there is still much of a market for $50K+ choppers. I figured that the bubble would eventually pop.

Hardly an original idea though is it?
Here are a couple of similar bikes that you could build and still have $74,900 change ;)

I remember when I was told that I spent too much on my Buell. Could have gotten a liter bike a bit cheaper. If a person has the money and wants something, hey more power to them. I may not think it is worth it, but then I'm not the one buying it, (even if I did have the money, I wouldn't).
